Capital Markets Awards in partnership with The Capital Markets Association of Zimbabwe
The Capital Markets Awards is a landmark recognition programme to benchmark institutional achievement and performance in the markets & exchanges landscape of Zimbabwe’s Financial Sector.
The prestigious annual awards programmes goal is to recognise excellence in those institutions and individuals that have demonstrated a superior business strategy based on strong underlying fundamentals, highlight emerging best practices in establishing robust market structures and identify challenges in executing sound operational processes which market participants can both learn and benefit from.
The Capital Markets Awards are unique. They are the only awards that recognise achievement in all the main segments of the capital markets through a poll of market participants. They truly reflect the opinion of the market. The awards perform a valuable function, enabling the market to reflect on what worked and what did not in the past year, celebrating the most impressive performers.

The Judges score each nominee based on the established criteria. The scoring is done on a numeric scale. The total scores are used to rank the nominees.
The information provided in the nominations is verified to ensure accuracy and legitimacy. Due diligence involves reviewing financial statements, market impact data, and other relevant documentation.
Judges convene to discuss the nominees, review their scores, and deliberate on the winners. This step ensures a thorough evaluation and helps reach a consensus on the most deserving recipients.
Based on the judges’ scores, rankings, and deliberations, the winners are selected. Typically, the nominees with the highest scores or the most compelling achievements in line with the award’s criteria are chosen.
Once the winners are determined, the award organizers announce the recipients through various channels, such as the awards ceremony, press releases, awards ceremonies and online platforms.
