1. Best Performing Listed Company of the Year

This award recognizes a listed company that has demonstrated exceptional performance and growth prospects. The winner will be a responsible, accountable, and dynamic business with a long-term vision and a strong commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles.

Criteria Evaluation:

Performance Metrics: The company’s financial performance, including revenue growth, profitability, and return on investment, is assessed. However, the evaluation goes beyond short-term financial success, focusing on sustainable and improved profitability over the long term.

Long-term Growth Potential:

The winner must demonstrate consistent growth and have a clear strategy for continued expansion. This includes not only financial success but also the ability to attract and effectively use public funding for future growth.

Sustainability and ESG Leadership:

The company should exhibit leadership in ESG practices, ensuring that its growth is environmentally sustainable and socially responsible.

Corporate actions are events initiated by a publicly traded company that affect the securities it issues. These actions can have notable implications for investors and the market as a whole. We will also cover the roles of brokers as sponsors in Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) and market introductions.

Account Opening Process: The ease, speed, and customer experience associated with opening a trading account with the firm.

The M&A Awards are committed to commending those who work tirelessly throughout every stage of the merger process to navigate and guarantee the successful completion of transactions through which benefits can be reaped and the course of a business can be changed indefinitely. This award will be nominated by a judging panel. This award will be presented to the company which has gone above and beyond their role to make a significant contribution to the capital markets sector. The judges will consider areas including: a track record of exceptional performance or service to the industry; dedication and enthusiasm for promoting the investment company sector and increasing investor engagement; as well as creating opportunities for others to succeed in the industry through mentoring, volunteering or educational initiatives.

This award will be nominated by a public poll and a judging panel will adjudicate. Good shareholder and investor communications are about more than just a well-produced Annual Report and website, although there is no disputing the importance of these within a company’s IR programme. They are also about maintaining open and clear conversations with all shareholders, effectively communicating bad and unexpected news as well as the good. The winning company will have demonstrated honest, accurate and consistent communication with all levels of shareholders and potential shareholders. Having adapted to life as a public company, the winner will have engaged effectively with new shareholders, promoting the company to professional and private investor audiences using all available channels, including social media.

This award will be nominated by a public poll and a judging panel will adjudicate. Individuals can nominate themselves or be nominated by colleagues. Judges will consider professional progression and performance but will also take into account factors including: passion for the sector; excellence in their role; improvements to existing processes or products; engagement in industry-wide initiatives; and helping promote the investment company sector more widely.

  2. Account opening – We will compile information on several aspects of account opening, like the ease of the process itself, what account types are offered and the minimum deposits required.
  3. Research – Higher costs can be justified by a range of in-depth, unique and useful research reports. These allow you to get information on market sentiments, trends, tickers and companies. We look at all of the research tools the broker provides.
  4. Customer service – The customer service scores of each broker are based on meaningful client interactions with their support service which will include live chat, email, SMS or phone.
  5. Education – Brokers with useful, information-packed education tools earn higher ratings. These tools include newsletters, webinars, videos, podcasts, articles, emails, and SMS. Well-structured and quality educational content can help the client to be more comfortable with the brokers’ platform, or trading itself.
